We had a great time at camp the week of July 17 to 23, 2016. We had some hot days, but tried to make it a bit cooler by playing with water balloons. Thank you to our helper, Tatiana, for helping with many activities including making bird nests. We observed a beautiful butterfly, and harvested and tasted tomatoes and green beans. Thank you also to our Junior Camp Counselor, Seve.
Fun time at camp the Week of 7/5 through 7/82/016. A big part of the week was observing toads that we found in the East and West gardens. We took many walks to the wetlands, and enjoyed crafts and tasty vegetable treats from the garden. Special thanks to our Junior Camp Counselor Seve!
We had lots of fun at camp the week of 6/27 through 7/1. We spent time on crafts, gardening and exploring the farm!
Today was the last day of June Nature Buddies. We learned about weeds (the garden bullies), and weeding some flower beds in the East Garden. The campers helped to water in the West Garden, and were able to take home some green leaf lettuce to make a yummy and nutritious salad. We made some vegetable puppets of corn, broccoli, cauliflower and carrot. A fun filled morning!
We had a great time during Week 3 of Nature Rangers. The campers helped to weed and water the East and West gardens – Thank you. Everyone enjoyed playing in the mud and getting VERY DIRTY!! Special thanks to this week’s Junior Camp Counselor – Bailey!
June Nature Buddies- Week 2 was all about colors. We talked about all of the colors in nature and took a color walk. Campers tried turnips, carrots, and radishes. We planted some beautiful flowers in the East Garden, and ended our adventure by making a flower craft to take home!
Campers had a great time during Nature Rangers Camp Session 2. We learned about insects, plants, and worms. We enjoyed making crafts, trying new vegetables, playing in the stick house, planting sunflowers, weeding/watering, exploring, and making new friends.
